PhD student, Ernst Ruska-Center for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons (ER-C 1), Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH, Jülich, Germany
I am a PhD student at the Forschungszentrum Jülich and I am working on ZnPd/ZnO catalysts for Methanol Steam Reforming. In my research I study the microstructural changes of ZnPd nanoparticles applying MSR conditions using in situ transmission electron microscopy (TEM). In order to image the changes I operate different instruments including environmental TEM (ETEM), gas mixing stations, MEMS holders and spectrometers (MS, EELS, EDX).
Ansgar Meise in Helmholtz Imaging CONNECT:
In-situ and operando TEM provides a direct link between structural evolution and materials properties or function and the ability to identify transient structures, which cannot be observed ex-situ.
