Rotation crystallography
Rotation crystallography is a way to acquire diffraction data from a single crystal sample. The crystal is mounted on a goniometer system, and a series of diffraction patterns are acquired while rotating the crystal. The "wedge" of rotation data is processed as a whole.
Contrast with serial crystallography, where one diffraction pattern is acquired from each of a large number of individual crystals.
