EUV Microscopy

EUV microscopy enables non-destructive mapping of chemical composition at the nanoscale, using short-wavelength extreme ultraviolet (EUV) radiation, where numerous element-specific absorption edges can be found. In combination with computational phase retrieval algorithms, a quantitative amplitude and phase contrast is achieved. This capability is particularly valuable for applications in materials science, and biological imaging, where high-resolution, label-free characterization is essential for understanding complex structures and processes.
