DR. Ahmed J M Afifi

Ahmed J. Afifi was born in 1985. He received the bachelor’s and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering from the Islamic University of Gaza, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) degree from Technische Universität Berlin in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Hellwich. His research interests include computer vision, deep learning, 3D object reconstruction from a single image, and medical image analysis. Currently, Ahmed is a postdoc researcher with the Exploration Department at HIF and IIIT-KIT where he is working on processing 3D data using deep learning.
